Release Notes

Start Menu Cleaner .NET is a small utility that scans all dead shortcuts and empty folders on your Programs in Start menu.

No works in Vista and 7! Didn't know until I saw those reviews on the net

Reviews for this release

While I would have loved this utility, either it does not work on my machine at all, or it does not check the start menu for "all users" which is a pity. Maybe next version? (Refers to the Start Menu Cleaner .NET release 2 running on Windows XP SP3)

Having lots of dead Start Menu links and folders is clutter and slows down the functioning of the Start Menu. Found and downloaded this, it worked great. Displays all the dead links and folders pretty well instantly. 'Select All' then delete and they're gone. You need to re-scan and repeat the process a few times where you have sub-folders. (crashed on re-scanning when no dead links left)
